One of the reasons I love camping is getting away from technology and being able to just talk with family and friends. You should try it sometime.

Im definitely not agreeing with the post but if there isnt a lake or a river then i dont think camping is fun. But the funnest vactions of mine is when i go camping by a river with all my cousins, we do some crazy shit!

obviously you have never been camping. some of my greatest memories are from camping. its nice to be able to get away from everything and just spend time with family/friends.

I personally hate camping but my step-dad loves it and it's one of his favorite things to do every year and we are not poor. It's just something you like, and if you don't like it, oh well.

I use to go camping with my family every year! Camping is where the best memories were created for my family. And we were never poor! I LOVE camping! You must be a stuck up person who needs your phone every second of the day to tweet your little friends about how you will someday "marry Edward Cullen"

camping is not just for poor people but if this person doesn't like it than its there opinion the poor people thing was sort of mean but other than that you can't change opinions it's what makes you the person you are (aspiring new psychologist)

I wish camping was a cheap vacation. The kid's tent, our tent, cots, sub zero sleeping bags (good sleeping bags are worth the investment) propane travel grill, cooking equipment, plus all the fishing gear. We have a ton invested. It's not for everyone, but our family loves it. And we had enough of a sense of humor to get a good giggle out of it when we saw it on Tosh.O :)

I understand if you are heading somewhere where transportation can't take you for the sake of seeing something spectacular or grandious that you "must" camp and try to make the best of it , but If you are camping for the sake of camping than you are just a poor guy deluding yourself that "this is fun". It definitely brings you close to the nature but camping on designated campgrounds is just renting a backyard.

A lot of city folk do it to get away from the noise. A lot of country folk do it because they want to be as close to nature as possible and embrace its beauty.

Yahhhhh I mean it can be fun, but... if the option were available.. wouldn't you rather take your family to an amazing cabin? where you don't have to sleep on the ground? "BUT money doesn't matter!!" oh, then why do you trade your entire life for it and then take your family to sleep on the ground.
