What if you ended up having it tangled around your neck and partly on your arm and while trying to get comfortable you end up moving your hand away from your neck and you ended up choking yourself to death. DON'T EVER FALL ASLEEP WITH HEADPHONES ON!

They already have them but they're pretty bulky and expensive, couldn't they just put a watch battery in each ear bud to power it?

They should make ones that are nice and plush (but actually sound good) and are cordless so your ears won't hurt in the morning...
