+340 Instead of making movies with higher resolutions, they should make movies with higher frame rates, amirite?

The size of the movie would more than double, causing A LOT more bandwidth to be needed. We already can only get 720p through almost all cable and satellite channels, no need to go to 480p for 60 frames per second, something most people probably won't even notice.

Well first off, I was talking about theatrical releases, not movies you watch on TV. And if I watch a DVD/Blu-ray of something I think I would definitely be able to tell the difference between 24 and 60 fps.

You'll probably only notice a difference when the camera pans. In games you'll notice the difference since you're constantly moving around. And I don't know much about the hardware at the theaters, other than the resolution is like 4k, but I'm sure movies will look a lot better at 24 fps than 60 fps on a resolution half that.

For the first sentence, I thought you were talking about pirating movies
