Have you read "A Mango Shaped Space" by Wendy Mass? It's more of a book for middle schoolers but it's really interesting. It really shows how difficult life can be for synesthetics.

Well it showed the beauty of synesthesia as well as how the character struggled with letting people know for years because she figured out young that it wasn't "normal." In the book, she is just starting to deal with people finding out. You should check it out. I know of a band teacher at my school who is also synesthetic and she sees color with music as well. I heard she asks her students what color a song was for them, forgetting that they don't see colors.

I always think of 9 as black, 3 as blue, 6 as orange, 4 as red, five as green, and 8 as purple. I'm not a synesthetic though

I see them differently. 0 and 1 are white, 2 is blue 3 is green 4 is light purple 5 is muddy yellow 6 is pepto-bismol pink 7 is turquoise 8 is a softer pink 9 is muddy.

1 is a show-off, yeah. 2 is 1's strong best friend, even though she's a girl. 3 is jealous of 1 and wants to be 2's best friend, and they're friends, but not that close. 4 is a gay guy. 5 is a mean guy who makes fun of 4! 6 is 5's close friend who is sort of afraid of 5. 7 is 6's older brother, who has a crush on 8. 8 is 9's little sister, and 9 is a confused teenager who's torn between going to college and staying to take care of his younger sister. o_o

So most of you had personalities or colors attached to them. Mine was a little different. It was an eternal war of Odd's against Even's. 1 was weakest to 9 that was strongest. Zero was a diplomat/attempted peacemaker. The numbers would fight and twist and combine and make pacts and temporary agreements with each other and even between sides. Five was also middle ground sometimes, because it was likely to produce an even. The Odd's often won the wars somehow. It's very confusing, even to how 8 and 9 were most competitive with each other, and so was 1 and 2, etc. Peace was always temporary. I know, I imagine too much. But all the ranks had legit personalities, sometimes even there were individual unique personalities for the doubles, and such.

0: Sorta neutral but at the same time evil. 1: A loner. 2: Some nondescript girl. No affiliation with 1. 3: Mischievous teen, often works with 7 on something crazy. 4: Mature woman, in love with 6. 5: Awesome, kinda jerkish guy who annoys all the higher numbers. 6: Loner man, in love with 4. 7: Evil man who uses 3 as his henchman a lot. 8: Shy person who fears 7, parent of 2. 9: Badass who works with 3 on bugging other numbers. 10: A figure of power and admiration.
