No we're not! We're just fat ;) Besides, I personally like the american accent better because british accents are SO overrated. Trust me, I lived there, they're not all that.

Still no, there's loads of different regional accents. For example, i'm a scouse and m boyfriend's mancs. We sound so different its untrue

(Anonymous):Technically, if you ask someone from the east coast, west coast people have an accent because it's different from what they're used to where they're from. I had this same argument with someone when we were discussing accents in Japan. It was interesting. tl;dr: Everyone has an accent, even if you think you don't.

so agree i mean who has ever heard of a california oregon or washington accent? but there are southern, texan, newyork, boston, and many other accents but none are from the west coast

yeah, although, everybody does think that westerners who are not on the coast have a stupid western accent, when you actually find that more people from Kentucky and Tennessee have that nasty accent.

I'm not stupid and neither are my friends, and almost all of us are in shape. Yeah I live in America! As far as how annoying our accents are I wouldn't know I'm not British.

I agree with Nelson. There are several different accents. Most are grouped into the Northern and Southern with little differences as you move from North to South. If you get someone from the far edge of the South and the far side of the North, they will sound completely different, but the transitions in between, not so much, and yes, the East Coast has an accent BECAUSE they annunciate.

Please, American's are not stupid. And, ftr, yes, Californians have accents just as pronounced as people in Maine ((would that be Mainians?)), and so do people in the UK. EVERYONE has an accent, deal with it.
