+228 Those commercials with those hurt animals make you feel terrible, especially if you can't do anything because you're under 18, amirite?

Its just sad because they're so damn cute...

I completely agree, but do you know what else is cute? Little children who are abused. When do you ever see a commercial for them? Why when a dog gets abused terribly it makes the paper? What about all the innocent kids living in homes where they are beaten? I agree that it's sad, but honestly people are more important than animals.

I think other causes are more worth your time

All causes are worth my time, if they're good causes.

My family likes to joke that, since our pets are so spoiled, the commercials are really about pets who want to live in upper-class neighborhoods. "If you love animals, please call today, and don't hesitate to give this compassionate, loving animal a summer home."

That's not very funny...

Thanks for making me feel like a jerk, Sarah Mclachlan...

You do realize that you don't have to go through the commercials to support the cause? There are other ways to help animals in need...

Well duh, but the commercials still make you feel bad for not donating to that charity.

You can still help by volunteering if it's a local shelter.
