Laughing at funerals is ok if it's funny. amirite?

That depends what you're laughing about. "Haha. You're right. Aunt Marge DOES look like a hippo in that casket!" Not okay. "Haha, yeah, I remember when Aunt Marge used to take us on those crazy family field trips to the zoo." Okay.

But Aunt Marge wasn't even my aunt and she made my life a living hell when she visited. Her stupid dog chased me up a tree. Not my fault she blew up.

The only reason that this is in the negatives is because people aren't understanding the context... Unless you all really think that it's completely inappropriate to laugh at anything, no matter what, just because you're at a funeral?

At the funeral of someone I knew, the guy giving the sermon or whatever accidentally called the dead person by his brother's name. People laughed at that. :/

When my friend's grandma died, there was a group of us (including my friend) who burst out laughing. We then went into the lounge where the rest of the relatives were sitting and they all stared at us. So embarrassing!

My mom laughed at a funeral service because the pastor kept referring to the deceased man as "Voyager Bob" and talked about how he was going on a space voyage. She politely stepped out lol.
