+363 You will go through lengths and unspeakable measures to find the remote, but its not a thought to just manually change the chanel.. amirite?

You can't manually change the channel. Not unless you have some REALLY old TV

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes you can... they're called channel up and channel down buttons.

My TV doesn't have them. It's a new design. Also, even if they were there, they couldn't do other miracles like play a DVD or Roku or DVR. It's more than just new channels nowadays.

It's a new design to remove incredibly useful buttons? Traditionally, televisions have ways to navigate menus via channel up/down and volume up/down buttons. I went over to Walmart and BestBuy just to check. This "new design" is exclusive to you and is also stupid. I also don't know about your newfangled cable box, but mine lets me go through DVR with the menu buttons that's on the device. Oh, for the future, next time you upgrade your television, make sure it comes with a power button.

@651529 (notlinkin): You actually went to stores to check? I got it from Costco anyway. I'm can't say how clever it is to get rid of them, it's not my idea, but I certaintly can't find them on mine.

You need to find the remote eventually. . .

I would change the channel on the TV if I couldn't find it, but most TV's nowdays don't have those buttons on the screen like they used to.
