I was gonna say this!although it's not so much music more like a low rumbling everytime somethings about to happen, and if you've seen the skeleton key it has some pretty scary music

I think they'd be less jumpy, the music gets to a crescendo without you notificing and when it stops the tension of the music isn't released so you are more easily spooked
