+708 That jolt you occasionally get while you're falling asleep that feels like you're falling from a sky scraper freaks the heck out of you, amirite?

It has a name... It's when your heart slows too fast and your brain sends a signal to your body to jolt your herart back into beating at a proper rate of speed.

For me, I sense falling as falling asleep. When I'm on a plane, turbulence helps me fall asleep.

I actually love when that happens... It feels like a mini-adrenaline rush! xD

I heard it's your brain freaking out because it thinks your body is dying, so it reacts by...making sure it's not. Thanks, brain, for the vote of confidence and the time I now have to spend getting back to sleep.
