I wish I owned a Bible just so I could do this!

Haha, favorited. I did this once in church (when I used to go). I looked at a verse in the bible and said those exact words without thinking. I got a dirty look from the priest.

"Walking on water" That seems plausible. "Magical 'virgin' mothers" I'll buy that. "God loves everyone... except the gays, the sinners, the atheists, and everyone who believes in a god that's not Him" IT'S SO LOGICAL I DON'T EVEN KNOW

NOWHERE in the bible does it say "God loves everyone except.." We have all done horrible crap and he loves us ALL still. The Bible is an incredibly unique book. Despite being written by authors from many countries and continents through 1,500 years of history in many languages, all of them agree on the same concepts. It has survived through time, persecution, and criticism. It has been translated into over 2,200 languages.. It's teachings are not found in any other religion: that man's nature is evil and God can save us, not something man would come up with becuz we like to think we're good. It has influenced our civilization's calendar, law, politics, arts, philosophy, science, math, history, women's rights, more. There are many historical records and archeology to support the bible such as the writings of Josephus, a man who wrote about Jesus but did not believe in him and cities uncovered. Countless experts support it and lives have been changed, tu

You're right, anonymous, many lives have been changed. I wonder how many millions of people have been killed because of that book...
