are you kidding me? you've clearly never been depressed so have no right to judge. when you're in a situation where things are so unbelievably bad that there is nothing left to do; reconsider what you are all saying. its pretty freakin easy to say you'd never do it, but try having chronic depression- which no one chooses to have.

My father shot himself in the head when I was 8 years old. My mom was a chronic alcoholic for 2 years. And did I cut myself? No. I moved on. No one has a reason to cut. Depressed or not.

It's selfish how so many people when hearing about people who cut or commit suicide have a reaction like 'oh they're pathetic' or 'weren't they thinking of anyone else.' Y'know what, who the hell was helping them or thinking of them when they went through whatever crap made them feel that way?
