+239 What's with this calling people you love "baby"? Calling them "darling" sounds so much more classy, amirite?

"Darling" doesn't sound right coming out of my mouth... it sounds too pretentious and posh, especially with my accent. It feels like "what what, let's go play some cricket" should come after. I think "baby" is sweet, provided it's not used in a nauseating way (when girls act all child-like and say it in a squeaky voice) or when some patronising slimeball you aren't even with uses it.

Darling can sound a bit. . . patronising.

When you really think about it, "baby" is just.... eww. Hello, pedo.
