Artists that say their own name at the beginning or during the song, no matter how good, are going to look stuck up and conceited. amirite?

Does Lady gaga count when she says " Gaga Ooh lala"?

Except Street Corner Symphony when they said their name in "Down on the Corner" that was just legit.

@lionanimagus A lot of people watch that show...

Yeah, except your the only person I've ever met that has. It makes it really hard to be excited about when everyone just stares at me.

@lionanimagus Well, you should find some people that have good sense in television/music

You're right. I live in Disney town central, neighboring Justin Beiber-ville. Can't wait to leave THIS place. (At least the people in it.)

It's a lot easier to know who's singing it

@Megan_nageM It's a lot easier to know who's singing it

Oh yeah, thank you music artist for saying your name at the beginning of every song! Oh how else would I ever know your name!?

have you ever heard of a radio? About 60% of the time the DJs never say the name or artist

So tell me how people have found out the name of the song when the name isn't in the beginning? Cause it seems to have been working just fine without it to me.

You're implying that I said they could never tell the artist without them saying it in the beginning. I never said that, I said It's easier to tell when they do so shut the fuck up.

Meghan Trainahhhhh. Ugh yeah. White girls acting black because they misinterpret skin color as the indicator of "cool" culture...i.e. Katy Perry, Trainor, and Taylor Swift. Gross

I was about to say jason derulo but i see several people beat me to it.

anyway, i agree.

Kid Rock, Jason Derulo, and Timmy from South Park all say their name in their song.
I fear there is more than one similarity shared by all three...

(Anon the Ymous): The post said if the artist says their own name. That part was said by Nicki Minaj.

No artist/band i listen to does that.

"It's a hit, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
Aah, you know the name, right? It's Brayez and Baby Jet!"
