-396 My parents went to New York on the 11th of September and all I got back was this bloody T-shirt. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Eff you. You are so disrespectful to the people who died 9 years ago. I hope you die a slow and miserable death

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think you understand this, but wishing death one someone is not usually a sign of good character.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

on* My bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know i'm totally prejudice, but this wouldn't bother me so much if you were from America. I know its wrong, but I guess its KIND OF like a "you cant make fun of my little brother, but I can" thing. I dont know..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well it's sorta like how black people call themselves nigger or how when you and a friend get into a fight, you only want yourself and them involved. People making fun of something they weren't a part of or understand, is an example of ignorance at it's finest.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this is just too far.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i hate you, go and say this to the families who lost people in the tragic act 9 years ago, but you wouldn't do it because your ashamed, you don't deserve anything good

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Goddamnit this is the internet stop feeding the trolls.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How does this stuff even get on the homepage?? Do the people that vote it down homepage it? That doesn't even make sense x.x

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People who really hate the post homepage it so it gets a ton of negative votes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think "fail" posts or obvious troll posts get put on for the luls. This isn't funny though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the moderators sometimes purposely put super controversial or negatively-voted posts on the homepage

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This isn't amusing at all...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you're a big douche bag. don't even say we can't take a joke if this is one. this isn't funny at all, it's so disrespectful

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Too soon.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You guys shouldn't only be mad at the person ( whom I don't like cuz of this) but also the people who are voting it up! That is just sickening....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol i like how "hitler died because he saw his gas bill" is ROFL funny and this is "just unacceptable" americans are conceited, much? or in short, http://www.amirite.net/344592

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Personally, I don't find any of those jokes funny. It's wrong that people could find any humor in events that caused such a large amount of people to die and suffer intense physical/emotional trauma.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh ok, because much much more people died in 9/11 and suffered trauma than in the holocaust. it all makes sense now, thanks american.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They said that none of the jokes were funny. Not that the Holocaust joke was and the 9/11 wasn't; they're both equally depressing. Anyone who makes fun of things like that should be ashamed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then why have i seen hitler jokes everywhere being so popular and "funny"? it just doesnt sound as cruel to you all, that's the only reason. but that's alright, it's not your fault you guys are so conceited, it's your ancestors

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhm, I don't think you understood what I meant. I was including all of those events (Holocaust, 9/11, Hiroshima, etc. etc.) as not being something to joke about. So, you're welcome, foreigner.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It has to do with this thing we call time. 9/11 is MUCH more recent than the Holocaust. Think about it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can understand both sides of this argument, but let me just point out that "bloody" can mean "damn" in this sense too. I know that's probably not what the author of the post was going for, but still...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That was the joke. It was supposed to have a double meaning. But yeah, too soon.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know. That's what I was trying to tell people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Asshole. You too, people who voted YYA.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fucking Jackass.. That's not even remotely funny...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Considering my mom was supposed to be on that plane, I find this incredibly disrespectful. Find some class.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd just like to point out that the OP didn't specify a year and "bloody" is a commonly used figure of speech in England.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fuck off that was a dumb argument and this fucking limey should go choke himself with some spotted dick. Faggot

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not an argument dumbass, it's an observation. I'm just saying that it's interesting to see how people automatically assume that the post is talking about that particular event.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now you just sound dumber. Cause I'm sure he was trying to be funny by saying all I got was a t shirt on September 11th.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, I'm sure he was trying to be funny. I'm saying that maybe the OP is more intelligent than you've considered and the post serves more than one purpose. It's possible that they did it on purpose just to see how people would react. Or they did it to prove a point that people can be influenced by their emotions to the point that they automatically construe an otherwise inconsequential statement to be a reference to a tragic event that it could have nothing to do with.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I see what you're saying but it's messed up either way. I don't give a shit what he was trying to do

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can respect that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. That would be really ironic. Still not funny though. More of a depressing irony

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But wouldn't that be what would makes the post so good? It's funny/disrespectful(depending on how you see it) on the surface but is actually a serious commentary on the human condition underneath it all. Not to mention putting all that in less than 25 words. How epic would that be?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And by the way, I'm not sure if you know this but the "all I got was this tshirt" thing is a reference to those tshirts that say: "someone who loves me very much went to (insert place here) and brought me back this shirt". He flipped it around for comedic purposes because most people don't actually like the shirts since they're not very creative gifts and are indicative of laziness on the part of the gift giver. But maybe you knew that already, I just wanted to avoid confusion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok honestly I was picturing an I heart new York shirt

by Anonymous 13 years ago

my uncle died in the september 11th attacks. I find this to be humorous, and my family does too. Step off your high horses and realize, laughter is sometimes the best medicine, and also, lighten up. I love how all you guys are like "SAY THAT TO SOMEONES FACE herpderp." easy guys. Its humor. Just chill. Ferrealz.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i found it funny too . its been nine years , and we do need to move on from it . it was a terrible event , and we can mourn the loses , but lets not forget to losen up every now and than too .

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Whatever, not funny, sick of crap like this getting on the homepage.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well using "bloody" wasn't the best choice of words. Although it might be a common word for damn in England, all of us American's are picturing a blood soaked shirt from a dead parent. Low OP...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that was on purpose, it's a double entendre.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I'm saying it was a bad idea

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Does it matter where you're from? The OP could live in England, and his parents went to New York on September 11, 2010, and all the OP got was a bloody t-shirt. Duh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's our country. We're allowed to be a little offended when you joke about an event as tragic as this. If you weren't there, you wouldn't get why people don't find it funny. There were people effected that may not have gotten over it yet. Don't act like everybody has moved on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think this is funny. All you faggots are crying about 9/11. I bet you all laugh at holocaust jokes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this isn't even funny dumbass

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's witty I won't lie. And I feel weird cause I feel like I perfected the "joke" with the I heart ny shirt observation

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lmao :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i lol'd, hard

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I lol'd. Good one :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I LOL'd, yes a terrible thing happened there but like some people have said, it's good to laugh sometimes, we're not laughing at the people's deaths or supporting it, it's clever wordplay that made us LOL, chillout.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's hilarious in a sick, i-shouldn't-be-laughing-at-this, kind of way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm glad to think I'm not the only one who laughed at this. People need to take like fifty chill pills and calm the fuck down. Seriously. I'm tired of people saying stuff about 9/11. It's so stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA ! that made me laugh SO hard !

by Anonymous 13 years ago
