by Anonymous 13 years ago

...You got a point

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You say "our" like everyone on this site is American..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorry, i didn't mean to make it seem like that. i just said our because i addressed America & i happen to be American. sorry if it offended you or something (:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol it didn't offend me I've just seen it a lot on this sight :P funny post anyway

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Please don't judge all americans, im sorry about the ones that misjudged you. but regarding the OP in questions he/she addressed America first, and THEN said "our"...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's addressed to America...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm American, and i hate when people act like every American is a stupid, rude, ethnocentric idiot. Sure, there are a lot of them, but not all of us.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The post is talking to America... "sure America" So since the OP is American, it makes sense to put our. thanks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh em gee, let's all bitch about america! People make posts that exclusively apply to autralians or the english, but god forbid an american makes a post about the president of america and address it to americans.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...What? :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Obama's half African, half Caucasian <3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Theres a difference between African and black. Just sayin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Awkwardddd!): but he IS half african. is dad's from kenya...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Awkwardddd!): African = polite way of saying black. So you don't get bashed and called a racist from people who take things seriously.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My friend's black, and from Detroit. Every time someone calls him "African American" he gets annoyed. He'd rather be called black. I think it's more rude to assume someone is from some random continent than it is to call someone what they are. People call Caucasian people "white" all the time and so far no one's been offended. I have never heard of a white person wanting to be called "European-American." Why should it be like that for black people?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I've never come across someone like your friend. Calling someone black would is the equivalent of saying the "n" word (I'm white. That would call for capitol punishment). Sure, that's true. You could be "black" and be from Puerto Rico and have very very little if not none ties to Africa, but you can't please everyone. Call them what you consider to be appropriate, which for me is African American, but that's the best you can do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*facepalm to comments* Why can't we all just get along?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know right? People these days. How did THIS post even become controversial? Tsk tsk.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Awkwardddd!): that is exactly what i was thinking! lol, just because of how i worded it people end up arguing? -_-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It really pisses me off, because not all the stereotypes about america are true, you know. Like I heard that Britains are stuckup and snobby and obsessed with drinking tea everyday, but I'm sure that's not true either. So, let's just all have respect for eachother and their country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wish I could bake a cake made of sunshine and smiles and we can all take a piece....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd favourite this comment .

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Puh-lease. It was just a funny post. No need to be immature here people!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow people, does it really matter? Differences are what make us unique. Misunderstanding is how wars start.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Get over yourselves. No one country is superior to the other. Stop acting like little kids and grow up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea? America is clearly superior?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really. All countries are the same. Yeah, America is a power house, but England and Australia have their strong points as well. You probably shouldn't have said that, prepare yourself for multiple thumbs down by people who don't agree.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What makes me mad is that people say things like "sure, there are a lot of idiots in America" as if they DON'T exist in other countries. I've visited several countries, loved them, and still love that I'm an American. So back the fuck up with the stereotypes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

These arguments are so fucking stupid. Who cares which country is 'better'? Get the fuck over it. England or Australia isn't better than America, or vice versa. America does have a huge global influence, but that doesn't mean they're better than every other country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how did this clever amirite post about obama turn into an argument about a country's superiority?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Your+name+(optional)): thank you for calling me clever (: i would hug you if i could lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(thePretender): yea? America is clearly superior? How can america be superior if it has morons like you in it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

With the British people up there (^) talking about all the American stereotypes, and assuming they're true, it just makes the stereotype of British people being pretentious seem spot-on I don't believe that, because I know a few decent British people. You obviously have never been to America if that's how you think.
