+399 Trendy names are annoying. What happened to the simplicity of names like John and Jim? Now it's like Braydon, Brayden, Bradin, Braydyn, Breydan. amirite?

I'd rather have a unique name than a boring ordinary one. And by unique I don't mean Shadiquatilatequila. Just something that's spelled a little different but not in a horrifying way.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

shadiqua-tila-tequila. hahahahah.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

LOL, I actually laughed out loud.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Hey. Hey. Hey. I have a ghetto name. Just what are you trying to say, buddy? D;

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Don't forget Bureighdaine. There's always that one rebel family.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

lol i have names picked out for my kids and they are trendy at all lol

A lot of people think they're being creative with a lot of names - but they just wind up making a mess rather than something decent.

A world of unique names would be better then a world full of Johns and Jims.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Slim Jims are good though...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Unique names are good and all, but spelling a name differently doesn't make it "unique" just a pain in the but to have.

Maddie Madie Mady Maddy Madde Maddee Those are all the different ways I have seen that named spelled!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

So, maybe I'm completely off, but I think the poster is saying that people today are over complicating the spelling of simple names. It's not saying that common names are better, but if the name is common, it should be spelled normal.

i like a lot of weird boy names: bryce, zane, blaze, rush, bentley. :P

by Anonymous 14 years ago

So you like potheads, amirite? You know Blaze, Rush, Bentley (<--Wtf?).

by Anonymous 14 years ago

i know, they are really weird... but at least its not like, Tater or Megatron.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Jim and John are trendy names. Why do you think they're so common? Well, not exactly trendy, because trendy implies they came in style recently and will go out of style soon. I like pretty names.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Its really the ethnic names that get me. Like really? Shamaria,Ladareus? Come on now. People just need to stop making up names. They sound very unprofessional. I wouldnt want a doctor Rashunica.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I'm going to be a doctor and I have an "ethnic" name. :/

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I know someone named Braedyn...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Allll the trendy boy names rhyme with "ay-den" now. Aiden Jayden Brayden Damon

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Haha, I heard of someone naming their baby Shithead. It was meant to be pronounced shi-thay-ed though.
