This is a conversation I've actually had with my mom: "So are you going to Jessie's house tonight?" "No, I'd rather just stay at home." "What? Honey, you spend too much time with us. Go out!" "But I want to stay home!" "All your friends are gonna be there!" "It's my life, mom! Butt out!" "You are going to that party whether you like it or not!" "What? That's completely unfair! Can't I please stay home?" "No. Go party!" Then I reminded her that Jessie's parents were out of town and I got to stay home.
