+932 You would rather buy a lottery ticket that gives 250 people 1 million dollars, than one that gives one person 250 million, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Erm, no.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Unless that one person is me!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly what JennaGee said

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well am I one of the 250? Then yes. Otherwise I'm taking it all XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Erm... inflation much?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The more money that exists... the less each dollar is worth. For example, if a dollar is half a euro, and then the government prints a billion dollars, the value of each individual dollar could drop to say, a third of a euro.

What does this have to do with my post?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If that many people were jus givn a million dollars... Each dollars value could drop drastically.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They give out this much in the lottery all the time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But nobody wins.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

someone always wins, which is why they raise the amount. its more like nobody has won.....yet.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Somebody always wins... Eventually. The chances of winning are extraordinarily low, and it takes months for someone to win the jackpot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They really don't give out 250 million dollars "all the time", but if the lotto jackpot *was* 250 mil, you can bet your ass a lot of people too poor to gamble's rent money is what you're winning... they don't just print more money for the lottery. That's a pretty ignorant thing to say, actually; you must not have thought that through.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

as selfish as it is, no. id definitely take all the money.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

they never said if you won the lottery. if you buy a ticket for one that give 250 people 1 million dollars, then one person wont get that 250 million dollars. its more of a selfish thing, you dont want someone to have that 250 million dollars so you give it to 250 people.

this mathmatically makes no sense...
