and the only one you can choose weather or not to give into to. You can choose not to drink, but someone with cancer can't just say NO I WILL NOT HAVE CANCER

although i agree with you it is ultimately a choice to begin with, once you are addicted it is a physical addiction and very very hard to cure yourself from, also some alcoholics (SOME) are genetically inclined so that one drink and they become immediately addicted

every male i=on my moms side of the family is an alcoholic, except my grandpa and uncle. my grandfather does drink but only a little and my uncle has never even tasted it because he doesn't want to become addicted
