I agree, but I don't like when people are like "OMG, you have a HORRIBLE taste in music if you don't like The Beatles, Queen, or some other oldies-popular band!!!" It's like, just because they are all known, good, etc., doesn't make my taste suck. ***I like rock, hard rock, alternative, things like that, not some pop-bull that talks about drugs n' sex. xD

THe poster is saying that everyone should be able to have their own opinions but then he goes on to say why they can't have THAT opinion. therefore he is contradicting himself in his own post. Yes, I think the beatles are better and so do you, but they may not be everybodys cup of tea.

"The beatles are better then the jonas brothers" would be more of a fact. I'm serious. They have better voices, their songs are far more well written, and they had to get by competing with already established musical traditions. In other words, they were an experiment, that started in the UK and headed to america. By the time of the jonas brothers, alternative rock and pop was already popularized, and disney had already thrown up tons of pop stars that get by on good looks and catchy songs. The jonas brothers had it EASY. All they had to do was look pretty, sound young, and write songs about love or partying. Creativity was not a concern with the 12-16 year old girls who go crazy over these disney artists anyway. How did the internet even arrive at this comparison anyway? When were there enough connections to spawn the thought, that the jonas brothers even belonged in the same BREATH as the beatles.

Actually, there is a factual way to say that someone can sing better then somebody else. Other wise we wouldn't have choir classes. Some people can and some people can't sing. Also, it's a fact that the beatles overcame more adversity in their career then the jonas brothers did.

The Beatles wouldnt have made rock history if they were cheesy. And I highly doub the majority of their fans are 12...if so, its because theyve been raised listening to them. The Beatles were special because of the huge impact they made of musics history and continue making.

I have recently started to like the Beatles but I have also like the Jonas Brothers for as long as I can remember. I don't think JB is better than the Beatles but I have been a fan for so long I tend to think about them first if somebody asks me what my favourite band is.
