I like this quote a lot...

"A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have" is the actual quote; and Gerald Ford said it, not Jefferson. It's commonly misattributed to him, though, so I'm sure you probably heard that somewhere. =)

I read it on a t shirt.

No government can give anybody whatever they want, so this is a moo point. It's like a cows opinion; it doesn't matter... it's moo.

You must not live in America. Because apparently, people who don't work are entitled to what others have earned.

It's called solidarity. And no, I don't live in America. But it's okay, we have our seperate opinions and I don't really want to get into this discussion and I'm guessing, neither do you.

Wow, they misquoted Jefferson on a T-shirt?!? That's like... wow.

I remember seeing this on the episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit about profanity and people trying to ban it. So then I looked it up and found out it wasn't Jefferson.

I posted pretty much this exact same post about a week prior to this one and it didn't get homepaged. What a bitch
