Ke$ha has songs with lyrics "blah blah blah" and "zip your lip like a padlock", and everyone loves her. Isn't that kind of a slap in the face to everyone working hard trying to get into the music industry? amirite?

I think it might be a teeny exaggeration to say "everyone loves her". I personally think she's a stupid skank.

I don't understand why you just bag on Ke$ha. Most rap and some pop has lyrics much more pointless then Ke$has, although I do agree her lyrics are stupid. But most popular artists these days have sucky lyrics, i guess we just have to deal with it ):

Because she went from being homeless to being famous....and I dont really know why. I agree though, the only good rapper I've listened to (although rap isnt my forte) is Eminem.

I actually, liked Ke$ha before she was famous. Back when the only song she had was Tik Tock. I liked it because it was so catchy and fun to dance to with my friends. And that song is kind of what made her famous, i guess, because everyone started downloading it. But now all her songs are complete trash. And I guess she became famous because a lot of people like songs that are complete trash. no one seems to care about real lyrics anymore. and yeah, i agree. eminem is the only rapper i will listen to, though some of his songs scare me :O but some are good

If you think about it and compare Ke$ha to some other artists, such as Katy Perry, her lyrics really aren't that bad. Katy Perry sings about wanting to see your "Peacock, cock, cock." Imagine all the kids who will be going around singing that and not understanding what it means. But I do agree with you, Ke$ha is just messed up. And Eminen is amazing :)
