+346 If you're a female sports reporter & you dress like a HO in the locker room, don't be surprised when the players get boners & whistle at you. You have a choice: either DON'T dress like a slut OR become a Jerseylicious tramp. amirite?

I am a Mom with 3 daughters and I am in NO WAY saying a girl DESERVES to be sexually assaulted no matter how she looks. BUT I also tell my girls, you cant parade your stuff in front of men and expect them not to respond physically (with an erection, they are visual creatures) and some comments. AND if you want to be taken seriously in a field dominated by men, you have to NOT dress like a mistress, dress like a serious business woman. And women need to fess up, they often enjoy the attention the tight clothes gets them...amirite?

i totally agree with you. Girls should be aware that certain dressing morals should be respected when they don't necessarily want to attraction in either a physical or sometimes fantastical way. Especially when they will be around a guy or a group of guys. Physical response from the makes is totally natural and you can by no way blame them for that. Also when men are grouped a girl which dresses in a certain way is sure to get some whistles and comments. So without judging a girl by her looks, i would say that how she looks depends on her and how she wants to be perceived is majoritarily dependent on how she looks. Then it means how she wants to be perceived is in fact only dependent on herself. :)

I'm a teenaged girl with five sisters(One being only two years younger who purposely dresses like a slut) and I agree almost completely with you only, if the girl is wearing basically NOTHING that she should be harassed a little for it so she learns. High school girls especially. If you don't say something to get thru their thick skull, it will only get worse,

Totally agree.

Did you just totally agree with your own post? Thats dumb

She can feel uncomfortable, sure, but she should've chosen less flattering jeans. DID YOU SEE THAT ASS???

I'm not sure if this is because of the female reporters in the football locker room "debate" that's going on in the news, but it's a quite relevant topic. And it has nothing to do with how you dress, it's a matter of privacy. I'm all for giving equal opportunities to women, but there are some things where you have to make an exception. Female reporters in a locker room full of naked men is one of them. It's got to be awkward for the players and the reporter equally. Locker rooms are just one place we don't need equal opportunity.

yea! i mean i don't see men reporters going in girl's locker rooms! He would have been arrested

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

CapedCrusader, I agree fully. To make it equal, why not make it so no reporters are allowed in locker rooms and we interview a clean, dressed athlete instead of a naked, sweaty one? Does it affect the message he has to give about how they won the game OR lost the game? NO.

So these football players have to take 'sensitivity training' because a reporter who claims she's the 'hottest reporter in Mexico' was offended that someone called her hot? WTH is wrong with this picture? The investigation found she was NOT harassed. She was dressed in skin tight clothes & she was whistled at and called HOT, neanderthals! Get the women OUT of the freaking locker room!!

if jerseylicious starts being used as a word im starting a revolution. north jersey and wherever on the shore line 'jersey shore' was thought up can go DIE IN A HOLE.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL, I agree. I was talking about that stupid show called Jerseylicious. I know that not all women from Jersey are that shallow and trampy but it makes it look like they are. Why do these women NOT see themselves the way the rest of us do?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's the thing. She didn't get offended or surprised at all. Some other reporter in the dressing room watched the episode and filed the complaint. She does have an amazing ass, btw :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Er, who was this reporter?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok, so someone else reported it. Still doesn't change my opinion. She was dressed inappropriately, she said she wasn't but obviously she's not a good judge of appropriate work attire, and entered a men's locker room. Women do not belong in men's locker rooms. I don't recall ever seeing men in women's locker rooms after the game, interviewing them when they're near naked. That's why I think all interviews should be held outside the locker room..period. She used her looks to get where she is today so she can't complain when someone takes notice.

Dressing a certain way does not make it okay for people to mistreat you and harass you in a disgusting way. It's never ever ever ever okay for people to do that. Ever! You should blame the woman in any way; she is a human being and deserves better. Shame on all of you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't say it was OK for them to do it I said you shouldn't be surprised when someone takes notice & makes comments. A woman that dresses like she does usually does it TO get noticed and then they get all self righteous and offended because someone whistled at them or made comments. So dress with more respect, not like a tramp, and you'll find you get less of the attention you find offensive. Funny, most of the women that dress this way get equally as offended is no one said anything to them at all. Women, if you want to go into locker rooms full of naked men, don't be surprised by the reactions you get especially if you're dressed like THAT. And I'm not ashamed of my opinion.
