I totally agree. However, most bullying isn't physical and is very difficult to catch, especially if the victim never says anything about it. In larger schools as well, the teacher to student ratio isn't very good, which means not every teacher gets to know all their students well enough to recognize when one is acting differently. It's a very difficult thing to deal with.

This is true, and that's why it's so important that parents and teachers listen and take seriously every report of bullying they get. These kids know they're risking getting it worse by "telling", so the likelihood that they would just lie is pretty low. I think a minimum of investigation would weed those out, anyway. Most kids will crack alone in a room with authority figures, so it's just a matter of caring enough to keep asking questions until you get to the bottom of it. The kids that think they're better than others and tease them need to understand it's not ok, and there is real punishment in store for it now, like being actually arrested and locked up. It is a real crime to bully and abuse people!! I don't care how "weird", "ugly", "fat", or whatever other hateful, immature label you want to use, that someone is; they're a person, just like you, who has the right to try to get an education in peace and relative happiness. ... just to clarify, I'm talking about older kids who damn well know better, not little kids, although bullying there is not ok either. The intention is usually different, though... if an elementary-school kid is truly sadistic like these teenagers, he needs a psych evalutation asap. He's either a little sociopath in the making, or he's being abused.

one of the reasons why I want to work for law enforcement is cause I want to stop this sort of thing. ive been bullied my entire life, and I have no friends but that really is fine with me. i dont really like people anyway. I just tell them to simply fuck off.

I think that bullying is horrible, but anyone who thinks that all forms of bullying can be stopped is unrealistic. The modern definition of bullying encompasses almost all forms of being mean to someone else. Even among adults, there are still bullies, and although I believe that the worst bullying can and should be stopped, people will have to learn to deal with bullies on their own to some extent to function later in life.

Ok I have been bullied my entire life. I learned to deal with it at an early age. It is so bad that recently a kid tried to handcuff me to the bed just for the fun of it. People make fun of me for being slightly feminine and call me gay and if I do show interest in a girl it is either a "coverup" or I'm "desperate". This is just proof that it isn't the bullies' fault because I have not once thought of suicide.

Anyone who thinks that it's not the bullies fault...well there are no words. Without this child being bullied, it wouldn't have happened. I'm sure at some point everyone gets teased, however these teenagers that commit suicide go through significantly more shit than anyone could know. Have some fucking compassion. They're not weak, they're faced with shit that no one should ever face.
