by Anonymous13 years ago

by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't get it...
by Anonymous13 years ago
um really guys you dont get it?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Obviously not since I just said "I don't get it" ...
by Anonymous13 years ago
have you heard of nickelback before or no?
They're an American rock band. They've been around since the early 90s and have had countless number one hits. They had a song called Rockstar which only came out a couple years ago after they were already one of the most famous bands out there
by Anonymous13 years ago
YOU don't get it. irony isn't coincidence, idiot.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No maybe you're the one that doesnt get it
by Anonymous13 years ago
oh wow you got me i dont get it at all i just like calling people idiot, but im the idiot here. irony is the EXACT SAME THING as coincidence, how could have i been so ignorant?
by Anonymous13 years ago
what the hell are you talking about irony isnt coincidence
by Anonymous13 years ago
oic you don't know what sarcasm is either..
hm
well, i am absolutely sure you are too stupid to be on the internets
by Anonymous13 years ago
and Im absolutely sure you're just a dumbass looking for a fight. All i did was explain why the song was ironic and yes I was right. So fuck off.
by Anonymous13 years ago
you were right because... you thought you were? irony is NOT coincidence, for the last time. learn irony before you try to argue again.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Nothing I said had anything to do with coincidence you little anonymous douchebag
by Anonymous13 years ago
ok ok, then explain how your post (#711262) described the irony of Nickelback writing a song about being rockstars.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I explained it pretty clearly before so once again you can fuck off.
by Anonymous13 years ago
rofl. you understand you're wrong now, good.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Im not wrong you're just a douche.
by Anonymous13 years ago
alright I was wrong. i, myself, am the one who doesn't understand irony. nickelback is a rock group, and they wrote a song about being rock stars. how is that irony?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Maybe you should listen to the fucking song. It's not about them being rockstars, its about them, along with everyone else, WANTING to be rockstars.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i think we need the OP's voice to settle this
by Anonymous13 years ago
Whatever, you can ask them, but I've known this song for years and all they sing about is how much they want to be rockstars, have huge houses, and drive expensive cars, when really they already have all of that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's a running joke on the internet that Nickelback is a horrible band. In my opinion, close to a meme. Therefore, if Nickleback writes a song about being rockstars, that is irony, because they are far from rockstars if they suck. It's just a joke, I happen to like that song.
I guess your reasoning for the irony is true too though, but that's streching it a bit. Kind of like when teachers in English class try to find themes in novels that weren't intended.
by Anonymous13 years ago
nickelback used to be good, before they became sellouts. When their songs had a real message behind them and before they started writing their songs primarily about sex and using the word fuck in every single song.
Ha, I dont think im strething anything to the extent that english teachers do.
