+407 "He who fails to plan plans to fail." is repetitive in a redundant way, amirite?

how is it redundant?

my teacher says this all the time.

It's not repetitive (in meaning) nor reduntant. If you don't plan ("fail to plan") then you are setting yourself up for failure ("plan to fail").

I see what you did there....

Well, it isn't repetitive. But I get what you were trying to do. Just...try harder next time.

If you fail to plan, you aren't planning at all. Failure is a possible consequence, not a planned action.
