it actually works, it stores energy in the day time to use in the night time.

Oh. The way I pictured it, it used sunlight to turn on and basically flashlights are used in the dark. Haha.

You realize they can use solar panels to power houses. It's the same concept. Like amiwriter said, it stores the energy for later.

um... well i went to Honduras (a 3rd world country) and they dont have electricity so we handed out a bunch of solar flashlights and they were extremely happy to get them.
