Yes because of the X and Y, but it says "you wonder why boys are y chromosomes and girls are x" when boys are XY and girls are XX so they both have X's...so the math joke didn't make sense.

You could simply factor out the other X, isolating the X and Y chromsomes of females and males respectively.
