Or you could just say, "I don't feel like talking anymore." A situation like this is almost like those girls that say, "I'm fine." when they're really not, and then expect everyone to know EXACTLY what is wrong. Not everyone is a mind reader or can take a hint. Just say what you need to.

Thats what I'm thinking. Instead of being rude and beating around the bush, you could just say that you're tired of talking or that you don't wanna talk.

this works both ways. it can be extremely annoying when you write out a really long message and ppl write back only one word, but on the other had, it can also get really annoying when ppl just won't shut up and you want to end the conversation but would feel rude if you just said that you didn't want to talk anymore.
