+609 You still have to recite the months of the year and count them on your finger to remember what number the month you're thinking of is. amirite?

...really? After you've been through the cycle several times you should probably just know.

I would have thought that people write the date offen enough to have memorised that by now, but I'd apparently be wrong.

August, my birthday, is 8. January is 1. December is 12. That's all I remember. Other than that, I'm hopeless.

I know January, February, October, November, and December off the top of my head. But I always think June is 7...

Nope! My birthday month is right smack dab in the middle (June) so... yeah. I don't know. xD I DO have to use the knuckle trick, though, to remember which months have 31 days and which do not.

What's the knuckle trick?! :O

"The knuckles of the four fingers of one's hand and the spaces between them can be used to remember the lengths of the months. By making a fist, each month will be listed as one proceeds across the hand. All months landing on a knuckle are 31 days long and those landing between them are not. When the knuckle of the index finger is reached (July), go back to the first knuckle (or over to the first knuckle on the other fist, held next to the first) and continue with August. This physical mnemonic has been taught to primary school students for many decades." http://wpcontent.answcdn.com/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9b/Month_-_Knuckles_%28en%29.svg/300px-Month_-_Knuckles_%28en%29.svg.png TL;DR: Just Google "knuckle 31 days."
