Scientifically it has to do with the nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorous content of different kinds of manure. It's all different, and dog has some of the lowest. Therefor it is one of the worst.

...and generally if the animal eats meat then you don't want its crap on your lawn, because all it will do is stink and kill your grass.
