+365 How come when Bush was sending us into two wars, creating a national decifit, and cutting taxes for the rich when the victims of Katrina were starving no one complained, but now that Obama is trying to undo everything Bush did suddenly everyone wants the republicans back? Amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

are you kidding? There were plenty of (oftentimes well-deserved) complaints when Bush was in office and he had one of the lowest approval ratings of any modern president the last several years he was in office. People will always complain, by the way, no matter who's in charge.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, but they want him back... btw are YOU the same Anon, trying to stir up an argument? >.>

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've never heard ANYONE say they wanted Bush back.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Becase the American people are generally fickle, ignorant about the issues, have a short memory, dislike whoever is in power, and have unreasonably high expectations.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, someone hit the nail on the head.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I actually haven't heard anyone ask for Republicans back. In fact, my AP World teacher called our Founding Fathers "fat, old, rich capitalists that just wanted to hoard their stuff"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why does he have to be AP?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It'd be weird to just say "World".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmm makes sense. So do you mean AP World History? Isn't that a freshman course? I didn't know freshman were allowed to take AP courses

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sophomore. They just offered it this year.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow high school sure has changed since I was a kid.... Sophomore year was our year for Civics and Economics. Then came US History, then was US government (which was optional)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In my school, we take Global 1 freshman year, Global 2/AP World in sophomore year [Regents year], [AP] US in junior year, and I believe Euro in senior year.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yeah you had the Euro option too. Since I was more of a science person though, I didn't take that route. See the way it was you, is you took a science and a history every year except your senior year, where you could choose one. I chose science

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah. We can take whichever, as long as enough people want to take the class.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, it's an emphasis on how few people still want Republicans.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Didn't complain" my ass

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You just changed my vote

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love you Anon, I don't care whether you're a guy or a girl, I LOVE YOU! Wish more people thought like you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because now is worse than it ever was with Bush. He had so many disasters that screwed him up. Obama does it all on his own.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

His only major policy screwup he's made was continuing the war in Afganistan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bush > Obama, jussayin'.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

let me guess, you're 12 years old...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No matter who the presodent is people wll complain

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I complain about Bush all the time. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No matter who the president is people wlll complain

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cool story bro.

I WANT BUSH BACK. So bad. No lie. In Katrina, he helped me and my family a great deal. I'm so thankful, he is a remarkable man. He came to St.Bernard and just helped in any way possible. It is ridiculous to think that people are so ignorant to beleive that he never helped anyone. He did. Without him, I honestly do not belive I would even be alive right now. We were relocated to Memphis in 2005 on a national guard van provided by Mr.Bush, this past summer, we had MAJOR flooding in my township. It was awful. In one neighborhood, there was 17 feet of STANDING water. Did your president come visit us? No. That flood destroyed a naval base and we didn't even get a state of emergency address. So, I LOVE Bush. I want republicans and so does everyone else in my area. Most of you must be liberal ass holes i'm guessing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

or, you know, we want best for the WHOLE of the country. also, he sent us into this depression. Sure, he came visited y'all, helped out a little. I'm not saying he's a bad man, just a pretty bad president.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyone is complaing about the wars..don't blame the President, blame the congress who allowed it....It would be great if some people did their research.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The Bush Administration heavily pushed for both wars...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you're so right we shouldn't have gone to war with Afganistan like who cares that they killed hundreds of people with suicide bombing the twin towers

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate to break it to you, but none of the hijackers were from Iraq or Afganistan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU! This post sums up my thoughts completely!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i would quite honestly like to end the life of the person who wrote this due to the sheer ignorance and stupidity that the post exhibits

by Anonymous 13 years ago

First off: people complained when bush was in power, are you stupid? and Second: Bush didin't do all those things on his own. the president cant do anything with out people passing the bill or whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so what you're saying is we should blame the whole republican party.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thats better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bush couldn't have sent in federal relief for Katrina until the governor's asked for help. Bush asked to send them in but the governor of Louisiana refused help until much too late. Doesn't anybody remember this?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Obama isn't trying to fix any of those problems. He extended the tax cuts, continued the war, and increased the national debt exponentially.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Samantha Jane): yeah, totally. It's not like he finds these things to be problems and try to, I don't know, end the war as soon as possible without making a bad decision, or, maybe, compromise as to get SOMETHING done. *end heavy sarcasm*
