+508 Its no wonder little kids nowadays are so awful sometimes: they grew up in a time without boy bands, Hit Clips, Pogs, Slap Bracelets and they don't even know who Reptar is. Hey, they can't even go to the ice cream truck without it being driven by a predator anymore. You know you would be mean like them too... amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hey, they've got those faggoty Jonas Brothers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or cool cartoons/tv shows in general, actually playing outside, tamagotchi, ORIGINAL polly pockets and barbies (or GI Joe for the boys).I could go on and on. Gosh I miss being little

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know. Being little was fun ):

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Barbie doesn't really count there. She came out in 1959, I believe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was just saying that because those dumb bratz dolls came out and now there aren't like any barbies. I loved them when I was little and now when I have kids there won't be any around :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I see what you mean. I hated Bratz dolls, and all of the other Barbie knock-offs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They were the slut toys. Although, Barbie was designed after a prostitute, so I've heard.

Nsync and Backstreet Boys > Jonas Brothers and Big Time Rush

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dear God, I KNOW RIGHT. What the fuck is up with Big Time Rush? They're not even any good.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Any band that gets a tv show on nick is bound to be bad!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Remember, uh....Naked Brothers Band, I never understood that...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love driving my ice cream truck around the city.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

reptar(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Reptar...I'm a little fuzzy but it sounds familiar, is it the dinosaur from Rugrats?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yess x)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ahh there we go, was called something a tiny bit different in my native language dubbed version (Reddar)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I laugh at these posts because when this generation was the age of the current one, the older kids probably said the same about their stuff too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was born in 94 and the only one of those that I know is slap bracelets...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You don't know Reptar?!??!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I do after reading the comments. I watched Rugrats when I was little, but I didn't remember the name of the dinosaur, especially since it wasn't even a main part of the show.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Good point.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It was the same with hit clips, I remember that those existed, but I didn't remember what they were called and haven't thought about them since 'nam. I still don't know what a pog is though, although it definetley sounds familiar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I don't know what a pog is either. Google time!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I just looked and it's this game thing that was invented in Hawaii in the 30's and reintroduced in the 90's. I never really saw them when I was a kid...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same here... It's the little disc things right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah and you're supposed to stack them and hit the table to see if they land face up or down. Honestly I'm way more connected to the early 2000's then the 90's. Bayblades, Yugioh, livestrong bracelets, heeleys, and that kind of thing is more connected to my childhood.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah there was a bigger, heavier pog called a slammer and you threw it down and which ever pogs turned face-up you got to keep.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are hit clips those little things you could get at like burger king and it played like 60 seconds of a song?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what I thought they were.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was just thinking about those the other day and couldn't think of the name. That was our version of the iPod like 10 years ago.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha, our version is definitely better. I remember had one and it played ABC by Jackson 5.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol I had Stronger by Brittany Spears an an Nsync one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Those were the original songs. Gosh, I felt so cool carrying those around.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha me too, even though they were only a minute long they were the shiznit

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah but my parents got a little annoyed after awhile.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't even remember what happened to mine.

What's with all the kids shows about famous people? There aren't any slice of life shows about normal kids anymore. There are about 4 shows about famous people on DisneyChannel, 1 about wizards and 1 about rich kids who live on a yacht. Their cartoons are about talking fish and Phineas and Ferb. Why can't we have shows that people can relate to anymore? And CartoonNetwork just isn't very kid friendly anymore. They say freakin & screw you. There's a lot of violence too. On one of their new shows, they actually had a scene where a guy was shown with the bad guy's hand around his neck, the camera went away from his face and down to his body, you hear a disgusting bone crunching noise, then his body goes limp and his dead body falls to the ground. We had some violent stuff in our day, but come on! At least we had good role models in our shows. What is a lazy, stupid, greedy, selfish, alcoholic(I mean syrupholic) sailor who treats his only friends like crap supposed to teach kids? If I h...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If I had to grow up with this kind of crap, I'd be mean too!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this is soo true. My mom used to complain about power puff girls being violent and a bad role model type thing... If she saw what's on now.. /: I remember for a long time I was only allowed to watch scoobydoo on cartoon network haha but from what I heard they're trying to make new ones now..? That's just not right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cool story bro.
