My friend always uses the '100% of non-smokers die' statistic when I make the occasional pointed remark about his cigarrette.. Maybe he has got the right idea after all.

No health authority has EVER said anything like that. Ever. In the history of the universe. There may have been something saying "1 in 3 smokers die of lung cancer" but never just "1 in 3 smokers die". So this post is pointless jargon. What is it with people and making stuff up like this?

Then by all means, point me to someone--anyone--who has EVER said this. This kind of joke cannot be funny, because every time someone tries to make one, they fabricate the statistic. For once, I would like to see someone make the joke without making stuff up.
