-82 A relationship between a student and a professor is OK, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

unless you wanna get all technical and say "it doesnt have to be the student OF the professor", which the statement kind of implies.

How else would the professor meet the student? I personally have no problem with 2 ADULTS having a relationship.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It is not that the relationship itself is inappropriate, I just think it is inappropriate for a professor to have a relationship with a person while that person is their student.

I have a feeling that a student feeling guilty about banging her professor posted this one

i love how you automatically assume its a female student and a male professor

by Anonymous 11 years ago

lmao as if a female professor would ever sleep with a male student. I mean dont get me wrong im sure it happens, but what, maybe 2% of the time? This isnt brazzers this is real life lol

by Anonymous 11 years ago

At my school, one of our female teachers kept sleeping with male students as they left school. It happened like 4 times ha ha

"This isnt brazzers this is real life lol" pretty sad I knew what you were talking about..

"I would find that weird so it should be forbidden for other people." If they're both old enough and responsible enough why should anyone care? And yes, teachers are responsible and professional, teachers who teach their own children and teachers who befriend some of their students still deal with them just as they would anyone else, so why would a romantic relationship being any different than your own child?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well, sex. but I agree with you. Although, I think they should wait until the professor is no longer teaching them directly (assuming they have them for only one semester or so) because it makes things less complicated. Plus, there's the added stress of secret keeping, or if open about it, what other students will say. Not that its always a problem, just more to deal with.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't disagree, but it is the decision of the teacher and student whether they can deal with that, not me nor anyone else.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Most definitely.

I'll have sex with my professor for better grades because in life you use all of the tools at your disposal to succeed, right?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

.......... You guys do know that "realtionship" doesn't automatically mean anything sexual or romantic, right? I have a great relationship with my dog.

hello

I bet Ross posted this.

If they're both adults it's OK as in legal, but I think it could potentially create a lot of problems. I know that if I ran a department at a college and I knew something like that was going on, I would discourage it until the student is out of that professor's class. That being said, I don't think that professors who are in relationships with consenting adults should be fired as long as they are still doing their job correctly and acting in a professional manner.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Couldn't you be fired for that?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

it's completely fine, recommended even, as long as it is a professional Teacher-Student relationship. but if you mean sexually, then no, its unethical, because the teacher could be extorting good grades for sexual favours, or the student could use blackmailing the teacher.

Huh, I was just watching Pretty Little Liars earlier today. Fancy that.
