Snorlax is a pokemon XD
I think StalkingPineapple is right. It's called the Lorax.

There's actually a LOT of meaning behind the Lorax.

AND the Butter Battle Book. I'd heard it was a giant allusion to the Cold War, so I read it and that seems pretty legit....

The cat in the hat knows a lot about that.

Actually, i think Dr. Suess actually tried to put a lot of meaning into the book! Shakespeare on the other hand wrote plays purely for the purpose of having a good sale at the theathre...its just that his mind is 100x more complex than the average human...

The hat actually symbolizes the confinement of modern society, and the fact that it is a cat is the author's plea for peace...

The stripes on the hat represent the patriotic attitude, and their placement, circling the cat, shows the limitations placed upon thought by government rule.

My teacher made us read the Cat in the Hat and analyze it by using the superego, id and ego... :P

And the rug symbolizes life because rugs are fuzzy.

The cat symbolizes stealth, crime, and timidness. The obscure hat represents a cry to stand out and break free from his binds.
In a nutshell, the Cat in the Hat is about a shy, timid human trying to assimilate!!

its about child abuse.. think about it.

The Sneetches (where some has stars on their belly and some didn't) is about racism!

Sure teachers are like that. Look how many years they have been talking about shakespeare's works and wording. Every year in every school. jeesh.
