Because of Nancy Brinker / Susan G Komen, everyone knows about it, even though it's only the 5th largest cancer, and there are tons of diseases bigger than it.

Also, what good does a color do? Even if you say, "it raises awareness", what good does that do? Being aware hasn't cured anything yet.

If I had never heard about the 3 day walks, would I have gone on one? Probably not. My gma had breast cancer and when we wear the pink ribbons she feels the support from us :/ I do agree with the OP, other cancers need some recognition, too.

There's also blue for prostate cancer, where there's a prostate cancer awareness day and everything, but maybe that's just my country.
