+607 You feel sorry for the kids whose parents don't let them Trick-or-Treat on Halloween, but instead make them go to an 'alternative activity' at their church, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You mean like a fall fest? My family and I go to one of those every year at our church instead of trick-or-treating, and a lot of the time they're more fun than trick-or-treating.

It's actually a lot of fun, we even used to have kids from the neighbourhood come in from trick-or-treating and play the games and stuff with us. :P

sorry if we don't 'fit in' but some kids actually LIKE church and aren't forced to go.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They didn't mean you don't "fit in" , he meant that he thought you guys didn't like it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ah. but still kids would think its weird to ditch trick or treating for church.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It kinda is. And this post apllies to people who were forced to go to a church activity(see kahleekat's post)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

maybe to u it is but we get just as much candy :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh,well it kinda freaked me out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hell naw! Those things were fun, heck my church we always dressed up and played games, got candy, I had fun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you go to church with that mouth?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you get this from, "the Middle?" :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, why is everyone getting so defensive? The post applies to people who were forced to go to a church activity, when they WANTED to go trick-or-treating. Not those who chose to go to church.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, this is exactly what I meant with this post. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

glad I got it right (:

haha trunk or treat FTL

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was one of those kids. Except my church didn't have a fall harvest party. So instead, I got to look out the window at the other kids trick or treating. Not fun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was forced to go when I was little. We couldn't dress up and only got a little bag of candy. I'm older now so I go to halloween parties, but my younger sister hates having to go to church and wants to go trick-or-treating instead.

My parents don't let me go trick or treating, but I don't go to some church thing, I just sit outside my house and hand out candy :/
