+640 No lady, do not try pass yourself off as 'curvy', you are obese, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

my boyfriend said he likes that im "curvy" but i really dont know how i feel about this.. its just a nice way to say someones fat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not always. A lot of guys do prefer curvy chicks to skinny ones, but (almost) all guys prefer skinny chicks to fat chicks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is a point where a girl stops being curvy, and is just fat. Though "curvy" is a legitimate body type in its own, but it's used too often to make overweight girls feel better about themselves.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate to be harsh...but if I meet one more self righteous morbidly obese chick who calls herself 'curvy' and b*tches about how the media deems her unattractive while she stuffs her face with high calorie crap and then cries at night about how fat and ugly she is, I'm gonna snap!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I consider Beyonce curvy. Basically anyone beyond that is leaning more towards chubby.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Anonymous):Beyonce is skinny. She has a shape, which is different from being curvy. Someone who doesn't have shape is unhealthy. Someone who has more of a shape than Beyonce is probably still healthy, and not chubby, depending on how much bigger they are. There is not ONE weight or body shape where a woman can be considered skinny or ONE where they can be considered curvy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, just because someone doesn't have a shape doesn't mean they're unhealthy. That's just their body type.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Beyonce is thin. I would consider Alicia Keys curvy. Her body is not thin but it's nice at the same time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Gabourey Sidibe= obese Beyonce=curvy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Also Natalie Horler=Curvy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Curvy=Heathly/Naturally like that. Obese=Unhealthy/Too many noms.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's so annoying the way they group people like gabourey sidibe and Kim kardashian in the same category by calling them both "curvy"- in no way are they even close to each other in terms of weight & body size!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, this is a bitchy, catty post... and one that's been done so many times, it's *really* idiotic that it keeps getting homepaged. You know what I'm reading here? "Blah blah blah, I like to talk shit about people because it makes me feel better about myself... blah blah no matter how low my self-esteem is, I can always console myself with not being fat... blah blah blah I'm a shallow, lonely asshole who gets mad when I see people I think are ugly(like fat chicks) in couples and have to make mean posts to reassure myself that even though I can't get anyone and they can, I'm better because they're fat..." etc... an endless litany of superficial hatefulness and fragile egos. Pathetic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

dude cool your jets. he isn't saying fat people are bad and shouldn't be happy, he's saying that fat people shouldn't call themselves something that they're not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you can always tell when someone flares up about a post on appearances, that they have major body issues of their own.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i dont need to defend myself or my opinion, it's quite clear where i stand. do you think that your argument is going to change me? it wont. and anyway, the point of this site is to see if you're right; it seems i am. thanks anyway :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, of course, always the "you must be fat" response to anyone defending overweight people. Fuck, you people are as predictable as you are pathetic. Answer: no, I'm not, and never have been yet, but I'm so tired of seeing a bunch of shallow assholes homepage a post that says basically this exact thing every few days, and the comments are always hateful, and the most fucked up thing of all is that it's nearly always about "fat" women, not men. It's superficial, sexist, and disgusting. Overweight men are way grosser than women, imo, and they often act like they're god's fucking gift anyway. WHY do want to hate on people? WHY do you care what they call themselves? Is it because you're so unhappy with yourselves that you can't stand the idea of someone whom you think doesn't deserve to have any confidence making themselves feel better tears you up? No one's making YOU call them curvy, but it's none of your goddamn business what they want to say. Th...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. how many times has a fat man called himself curvy? never. 2. how many times has a fat woman called herself curvy? more than never. 3. this post isn't hating (like i said before) 4. you're argument is awful

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... The chick commenting about the Seventeen models is the worst; I almost never see comments from her about anything but hating "fat" girls. What's wrong hun; jealous girls you think are ugly can get modelling contracts and you can't? Is your mom huge and disgusting and embarassing? Surely there's some personal reason for why picking on overweight women is your favorite hobby. I bet deep down, you really think you're ugly(I wore glasses at a young age, and got teased too)... and the only time you feel better is when you're bashing others who you think look worse. Some day you might want to think about finding more constructive and mature ways to feel better about yourself than tearing down others... in the meantime, I sincerely hope something happens to you that leaves you bedridden for long enough to get "fat", so you can have the experience of trying to lose weight and see how hard it is. I've helped people through it, so I know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

why fight so hard for a 'cause' that doesn't exist? people are fat because they lead sedentary lifestyles, blame it on genetics and then try and comfort themselves with denial. by the way, body issues does not equal fat. although it is true that the thin don't care for the feelings of the fat. no wonder you come across as one of them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Technically genetics can be a reason for some people being fat or chubby...that could also make it harder for them to lose weight....my mom and a majority of her family is big. My dads family is half and half...some are big and some are skinny....i myself am 190 pounds.I'm also 19 and I have been very active a majority of my life and even when i try to lose weight i never could...My dad who is smart said that genetics plays a huge role in that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, you're not right; kids are just shallow. I'd be sooo proud too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Your dad who is smart is kind of right. However, my dad is a geneticst and probably smarter, so he and my exercise science degree say genetics can make you more susceptible to weight gain and determine your body composition. how many fat cells you develop as a child determine how fat you can potentially be. Also weight loss and gain is only 30% exercise and is 70% diet

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No offense but i wouldnt necessarily call your dad smarter just because he is a geneticst or you smarter for that mater just because you have a degree in one thing...also i beg to differ to on the 70% diet 30% exercise. More like 50% exercise. If you have an exercise science degree then you should know that no matter what you eat its always a diet...you could eat junk food and be on a diet. Now if you were to say change diet to eating HEALTHY then i would have no argument over that because it is more correct than using the word diet. And as for your comment below yes no one is born to grow up obese...but if you have a family that is the more likely chance of you being obese is higher...if that person wants to break that chain and chose to lose weight they would still have a more difficult time than someone who is obese because they sit around and do nothing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He's calling his dad smarter *on this topic* due to the geneticist career. I don't know about you, but I'd much rather listen to a geneticist and exercise science graduate than someone else and their smart dad. No offense to that person and their smart dad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But no one is born to grow up obese

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Your grammar is awful.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you're becoming pathetic when the only reply you can come up with is a feeble insult...
