Nope, just pointing out that the statement above isn't necessarily true. Lots of dads do what my dad does.

nah my dad reads news on the computer and plays solitaire when he gets home. He'll do something if you ask him to though :)

During the weekdays, all he does is go into his office and work more. During the weekend, he does the NY Times crossword on the porch and yells at anyone who tries to talk to him. But I admit, when he's not doing that, he is most likely watching Jeopardy with my mom.

Yay! Now everybody gets to tell what their dad's do when they're home! My dad reads, gardens, mows, or does some other outdoors stuff that involves being particular about how our house looks. He saves TV watching for nighttime.

Nooo.. I don't live with my dad, so I never actually see what he does. But sometimes he'll stay up until 4 AM and paint the walls, fix things, play with his bunnies, drink coffee, smoke like a chimney, blast his rock music. When I'm at his house, I never see him really sit down, kick back and relax and actually watch TV. From the time he wakes up in the morning, he puts on his jacket and shoes and just does work. He's unemployed...soo, he's got to do something to keep him busy.
