I guess it's sort of like a doubt thing - the ability to question something you were once convinced of, and then have it re-affirmed, makes your belief stronger.

I see it as more of a 'getting-what-you-want' thing O_o Am specifically referring to The Dirty here... So You say 'I will never sleep with xyz! NEVER!!!' Then do so Then go 'I will never sleep with xyz again! NEVER!!' yes? c:

Ah, I see now. I'm the same way, but usually with smokes or food. IE, always promising to quit, or saying I'm never gonna eat crappy food again. I saw "conviction" to mean strong beliefs.

oh god yes, i am like that with food also O_O deep down, i'm a health freak, but I just like junk too much =p Yeah it wasn't quite the word i was looking for.... So it didn't carry quite the right meaning... so fair enough c:
