+631 It frustrates you when people say that "real" women have curves - bitch, anything with a vagina is a "real" woman, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sooo the post op gender bender across the street is now a real woman?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm glad you said this. I was thinkin' it too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah! It's like, just because I don't have curves, I'm not a real woman? And because my mum doesn't have curves either, she isn't a real woman?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

except if you have herpes

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're probably some chick that's flat as a board. Jealous much?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just what I was thinking ^

Gotta have or have had ovaries to be a real woman.. Because they can make "women" now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I only have one ovary, so I'm gonna go with "You have to have a uterus to be a real woman"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that works.

I was about to say, anyone who watches House knows this post is false; people only uprated it because they interpreted it as making fun of overweight people. So predictable. *yawn* Yes, it's the chromosomes that make a REAL woman, if you want to be accurate.

XX for the win?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I remember that episode. with the girl who was really a man?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I understand where this post comes from. A lot of REALLY morbidly obese women are like, "I'm a real woman I've got curves!" Yeah, you've got hills, and valleys too. It's fucking gross. You can be too skinny, and you can be too fat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

curves =/= fat

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU! :3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I have a friend who is stick thin. She's the kind of person who eats up a storm and doesn't gain weight. Anyway, she has big boobs and butt and she looks great. That's curvy. Big boobs and butt. Not an unhealthy layer of fat on your body.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's the one; she looked like a conventionally very pretty girl, was a model even, but tucked inside her were testicles that produced no testosterone, so she developed like a woman. Great episode.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

has everyone forgotten there is the possibility of having curves and not being fat.Sounds like most the people committing are sticks with out a figure.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You dont have to be a fat woman to have curves. I think curves are like a privlage where it gives you some body , instead of being somewhat flat cheasted and straight of a line body. And it annoys me when "skinny" girls hate on girls just because they have a b and above bra and have curves that guys can actually feel on.If your so affended And jealous cause someone actually has a figure why dont you just go out and by you a double cheese burger and maybe then you can have it your way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Skinny" girls aren't real girls? You made a definite distinction between the two.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There are heaps of different body types. If you're not starving or gorging on food, you're fine. There's nothing wrong with a person's natural body weight. Boom.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

any woman that is in the kitchen making a sandwich is a REAL woman, obviously.

This post completely invalidates the experiences of transwomen, who are also "real" women. It even ignores the experiences of transmen, many of whom have vaginas, who are not women. It's easy in really simple minds to break down gender into a binary system based solely on biological sex, mostly 'cause you stupid. Not only is this post transphobic, but it's also sexist and sizeist and it perpetuates an unnatural standard of beauty that encourages people to have eating disorders, self harm, or even suicide. Get your lives together.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Anything with a vagina is a BIOLOGICAL woman* But yeah, I agree that weight or body type don't determine femininity.
