1. Masturbation doesn't kill a baby. It just fails to create one. 2. Why do you have to specify gender? A woman masturbating won't let a baby live either. 3. I felt that there needed to be a third point in order for anyone to take my comment seriously.

Therein lies the difference; abortion IS killing a living child. Masturbating simply doesn't allow the possibiliy of a child existing.

Abortion doesn't have the ability to 'let a child live' or not; The child is alive in his or her mother's stomach. Once sperm has been joined to an egg and it's a zygote, it's a living creature. Sperm alone, on the other hand, does not equal a child. Therefore, abortion kills a child; masturbation simply does not allow human life to begin.

This is true; but the sperm never created a human being, therefore it did NOT kill a baby, and so it is NOT the same concept as abortion.

You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. Yes, sperm has the ability to produce a human being. We've established that. Just because it CAN create a human being, does NOT mean that it IS a human being. Sperm =/= human being. Simply because the sperm has the potential to become a child, does not mean that it in itself is a child, nor does it mean that wasting it is the same thing as wasting a child, NOR does it mean that by masturbating, a man is KILLING a child, because there is no child to be killed. Abortion, on the other hand, is taking the life of an already developed and living child; that IS killing. In short: Masturbating keeps a child (human life) from developing, at least from that man and his sperm. Abortion takes a life that has already started, a baby that has formed from a zygote. They are NOT the same thing.
