Heads down, Thumbs Up...let's play Seven Up, amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
It's "heads up, seven up."
by Anonymous14 years ago
True, but you have to put your head down to be able to put your thumb up, otherwise you're standing.

i dont get it..how did this get homepaged?
by Anonymous14 years ago
I don't get it either! And we always called it "heads down, thumbs up", I've never heard of it being called heads up seven up. Surely the heads are down the whole time? :S

Heads are down until the 7 people have been picked, and then those who were tapped get to stand. Everyone else is allowed to put their heads up then and watch. I don't know what variation you play, but that's the standard here.

oh right, that's what happens here except usually there's four people who go around tapping the others' hands, not as many as seven!
by Anonymous14 years ago
Oh yeah, we had seven. But only if we had a lot of kids, otherwise we'd just have like four people walk around. We still called it seven up though.

Because it brings back the nostalgia of a childhood game?
