+632 One of the many problems today is that people don't have to put up with many consequences of their actions. You don't stay fit; try diet pills or lipo. You have unprotected sex, have an abortion. You break the law, hire a really expensive lawyer and lie through your teeth. Everyone needs to start dealing with mistakes instead of getting out of it, amirite?

And who is to decide what is wrong and not?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This post doesn't say anything about wrong, it says people need to deal with consequences...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And in order to have consequences you have to do something wrong...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That isn't what consequence means.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

consequence |ˈkänsikwəns; -ˌkwens| noun 1. a result or effect of an action or condition I think it does

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorry to butt in here, but your definition never says its a "wrong" action or condition.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, who ever heard of an action or condition being good...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For ex; The consequence of me studying was an A. (Lame..) but it's the result..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No you can have consequences for doing something good too, there are positive and negative consequences. " a result or effect of an action or condition" nothing about the action or condition being wrong there

Actually a lot of people that get abortions were already taking responsible measures to not get pregnant, abortion is not just an easy way out-its still a consequence because its a painful experience (for some people it may be the most responsible option. I am sure that not everyone having sex has the mentality that they can 'just get an abortion'. Also if one gets in legal trouble, you cant just get out of it with a lawyer unless you pay out the ass. Even if you pay out the ass, you probly wont get all the way out of it-the sentence may just be less harsh

People have been having abortions for thousands of years, so that's not a new thing. Also, If you are 100% guilty it's higly unilkely that you're going to get let off just because you paid alot for your lawyer. And that's also not a "these days" thing, because it's been happening forever anyway. People who were rich throughout history have been getting away with terrible things because they have money and or power. The only thing that I could agree with in this post is that people can have a "get out of it quick" option if they have put on alot of weight.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea you pretty much said what I said plus some other stuff. I know abortions nothing new, I was just saying that abortion is not necessarily the 'easy way out' cus it is still emotionally taxing on people. I know not everybody can pay their way out and it all depends on what you did. I know that paris hilton paid her way out of her cocaine charges, I think what that shows though is that our gov cares more about money than the well being of individuals (screw paris hilton tho lol) I think the war on drugs is just a war on personal freedom and is mostly about money anyways.

You say people have to "deal with it" when they make a mistake. So what you're saying is that trying to lose weight with diet pills is NOT dealing with it? If that's the case then in your mind; all fat people should stay fat, pregnant people should stay pregnant, and every verdict should be guilty, right? This is the most backwards post ever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyone makes the choice that best suits them. When you get into a problem, the goal is to get out, not please those around them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And it's not a new thing anyway -_- people having been taking the easy way out since the begining of humans.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is one of the stupidest post I've ever come across.

I love this post. It seems like all technology does recently is get people out of laziness and "trouble." Yeah, what's the point of making it harder on yourself, but really? How weak and lazy are we going to become?
