+380 When people tell you what God thinks about a certain issue, it's funny that it's usually the same as their own opinions on the issue, amirite?

Unless they can provide a scripture, I agree.

If I could press yeah you are button more than once I would.

RIGHT? I was just thinking that.

They can't have the same opinion as their God? Usually they believe the same thing their God does, that's why it's called a religion.

It's more of a "God is against abortion!" How do we know?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, I see. Then I agree with the first comment, if they can back it up with scripture.

It's funny how whenever I form opinions I reaffirm it with Scripture. Scripture IS God's opinion.

Oh, so God wrote the bible himself? It was actually written by many different writers at many different times some claiming to be "divinely inspired". But not by God himself, so when people say - "love must be between a man and a woman, no gay marriage, God says so, it's in the bible!" No one knows if God thought that.

Woah Deja Vu. Didn't I answer this? Or am I hallucinating. Dang I wish I knew.

I think it got double posted. I find it funny how we're debating here but laughing on the MLIA post.

Yeah. I know someone asked me this exact same question. And I answered it. I tried to find it but couldn't. Ah time to go through the rigmarole. Suppose that God IS in fact all-powerful. Now, knowing that, wouldn't He be able to get what He wants in His Book? I mean it's simple logic to say that if someone CAN do something, and they should, they will.

Well obviously!!! If there is a God, he is GOD and is going to know what's right. So if someone believes God feels a certain way about something they're therefore most likely going to feel that way too. And there's nothing wrong with this.

Rather than base their opinions around God's word, people base God's Word around their opinions. A lot of stuff in the Bible is ambiguous, you can interpret it to mean anything, including your own agenda.

Because that's how religion works for plenty of people. They chose the religion that agrees with what they think or they are indoctrinated to think exactly like that religion tells them to. Every religion has good and bad in it, so it says a lot about people which side they go along with.
