+126 If vegetarians eat vegetables instead of meat to save animal lives, wouldn't that just be taking away the animals food source, thus killing them. amirite?

just because i ate bread for breakfast doesn't mean that i have deprived the world of bread.

exactly, so what difference does it make whether i'm a vegetarian or not. that's how i choose to live my life, i haven't had meat in 6 years, so technically even if i wanted to, my body wouldn't be able to handle eating red meats, or any type of meat for that matter.

i have never eaten meat in my life. and i don't think i ever will......and i consider myself lucky to be born in a place where there is enough choice of food for vegetarians.

i agree wit her even tho im not a vegetarian lik her i do see her point ppl who eat meat also eat the same things vegans eat so it really doesnt matter which one u prefer

there is a big difference between being a vegan and being a vegetarian....just so you know.

If I eat vegetables, I take away the animals food source? WTF is that supposed to mean? Have you ever heard of carnivores? And do you know herbivores eat more of plants and grass rather than fruits and vegetables?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Agreed. This post doesn't really make much sense.

(: im a vegetarian, & i am proud!

You make a good point but us humans eat stiff that farmers grow especially for humans and even on chemicly grown farms which are closed off so the animals definatly don't eat those kids of vegatables

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I really, truly, don't care what other people choose to eat. Leave them to their vegetables, eat meat if you want.

Your ignorance is appalling. We raise our vegetables while omnivorous/herbivorous animals find their feed in the wild. We also breed animals for our own consumption and are very cruel to them, hence, I am a vegetarian.

I am a vegetarian, love it, dont think Ill ever drop it, and I really dont understand why other people care about what I eat. They should probably start caring about what they are eating, how much of it, what its doing to their bodies and to this planet and all the other living things in it.
