+639 It's kind of weird that we haven't had a Jewish President yet... I mean they would probably be good at solving financial crises, amirite?

Hawai'i had a Jewish governor for 8 years and we're in pretty bad financial shape.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes, but she is also a republican

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Those two things probably cancel each other out...

What about Goldman Sachs? Weren't the Jews the main part of it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

goldman is a jewish name, so i'm assuming yes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not everyone who works at Goldman is Jewish.

Thank God you used "crises" and not "crisises"... great post by the way

Ben Bernanke (current Chairman of the US Federal Reserve) is Jewish - and his decisions lately keep sending us down the shitter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that he's done a fairly good job since the crash, but he certainly could have done a better job of preventing it in the first place.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I SO saw that coming as soon as I saw Jewish.

We talked about hid in class today :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People would probly bitch about that too, like if dude isnt christian all hell breaks loose. I know Kennedy was a Catholic, but some people bitched about that as well.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly, people didn't liek that their president was Catholic, refused to vote for a Mormon so getting a Jewish president is going to be rough. I think religious barriers are going to be harder to overcome than ethnic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but note that the Jews already make up 10+ percent of congress, making them by far the most represented religious group (relative to actual population).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's true, but I think people look at their Congress rep.'s differently.
