Especially when your friend is complaining about how misirable their life is! like, you could be so sick you can't breathe without pain, and if you say "I'm not feeling good...." They will say "Oh yeah? well I had a little headache last night! I'M WORSE THAN YOU!" or "oh yeah? I have the hiccups! THE HICCUPS!"

That literally happened to me. I'm chronically ill and was having a really hard time breathing and all my "friend" did was complain about how swamped he was with work. Like sorry but you're the one that decided to have a job and take five graduate classes at the same time.
